The company operates with a fully remote workforce and is looking for a Protocol Engineer to lead the development of core components of the Sei Blockchain.
The role involves designing and optimizing foundational layers of a high-performance, scalable decentralized network.
The Protocol Engineer will collaborate closely with the engineering team and ecosystem partners to innovate and push the boundaries of blockchain technology.
Responsibilities include writing code for the core Sei blockchain, identifying optimizations, collaborating with the frontend team on REST API fine-tuning, and taking ownership of work.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
Proven results in building or scaling Layer 1 blockchain performance are required.
The ideal candidate should be a proven tech lead with experience in planning and leading large projects that have a long-term impact on a single system or team.
A strong technical grasp and excellent judgment on task prioritization are essential.
Candidates should be able to tackle complex engineering problems that deliver results.
A history of creating and applying new processes and tooling to increase engineering efficiency is necessary.
