Description:

OP Labs is seeking a Senior Protocol Engineer with expertise in Rust to contribute to the development of the Optimism mainnet and the infrastructure for OP-Stack chains.
The role involves improving Ethereum's performance and scalability while aligning with the public good through a Public Benefit Corporation model.
Responsibilities include contributing to Rust-based Ethereum and OP Stack infrastructure, evolving the proof system to meet stage 2 requirements, and assisting in the maintenance of existing Go-based infrastructure as needed.
The engineer will collaborate with other teams within OP Labs and with external developers and partners.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a deep understanding of the Rust language and ecosystem.
Blockchain development experience is required.
Experience in systems programming, particularly in developing low-level software such as virtual machines, interpreters, or compilers, is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for documenting technical details and collaborating effectively with team members.
A strong understanding of cryptographic principles is required.
Experience with Zero Knowledge Proofs is considered a nice-to-have.
