Remote Senior Python Data Engineer

Description:

• Seeking a Senior Python Data Engineer with extensive technical experience in data engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, technical leads, business owners, and analysts throughout the SDLC.
• Design and implement new features in the core product’s data platform and suspicious activity identifying mechanism.
• Propose ideas to enhance the resiliency, stability, and performance of the platform.
• Participate in setting coding standards and guidelines, and document standard methodologies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in SQL and Relational Databases (Oracle / MySql / Postgres).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Python developer, writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Strong unit test and debugging skills.
• Hands-on experience with Linux.
• Knowledge of SQL, particularly in performance tuning.
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
• Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Open mindset, ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude under challenging circumstances.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Snowflake database, Airflow, DBT, and Great Expectations frameworks.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Spark, Sqoop, HDFS, YARN).
• Experience with Agile development.
