Description:

Architect data exfiltration pipelines for our fleet of field devices and high frequency research sensors over low-bandwidth communications links.
Implement highly-available data warehousing with intuitive APIs and efficient query infrastructure.
Create monitoring and control software that flags issues with the power grid in real-time and enables operators to dispatch the appropriate resources needed to fix them.
Design intuitive access patterns that enable our data science teams to run analysis on collected data.
Deploy new and existing cloud infrastructure that scales with our growing customer base.
Collaborate cross-functionally with our hardware team, data scientists, full-stack engineers, and embedded software engineers to super-charge their workflows.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in one or more backend web frameworks, specifically Django Core.
A minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience is required.
Experience with React Js would be a significant advantage.
Proven experience in building large-scale cloud-based applications is necessary.
Ability to construct scalable ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and APIs is essential.
Comfortable developing on UNIX with an understanding of networking, filesystems, and scripting.
Knowledge of version control, automated deployments, testing pipelines, and container configuration is required.
Solid experience with SQL, preferably Postgres, and exposure to GraphQL would be a plus.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure solutions such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.

The position is fully remote with the option to work from the office; you decide when to work from home and when to work from the office.
