Remote Senior Python Engineer

Description:

• IT Labs is seeking a Senior Python Engineer who is passionate about quality and innovation.
• The role involves working on a large, single-tier (monolithic) application using Django as the primary framework.
• Responsibilities include building and optimizing backend features to ensure the application is stable, efficient, and scalable.
• The engineer will work with SQL and MySQL databases to manage and retrieve data, ensuring optimized queries for peak performance.
• The position also requires structuring different components of the application, handling user requests, and maintaining smooth interaction between various parts of the system.
• The engineer will develop backend systems using Python, Django, and MySQL, focusing on API development.
• Frontend tasks will involve using JavaScript with jQuery, along with Django templates and Handlebars for HTML transformation.
• The role includes deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• The engineer will maintain a monolithic application architecture.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience in Python, demonstrating a strong grasp of the language.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience with Django is required.
• Proficiency in SQL and MySQL for database management is essential.
• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery for front-end tasks is necessary.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP for cloud services is required.
• The candidate should work well independently, take initiative, and pay attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with team members and clients are important.
• The ability to adapt easily to different client environments, workflows, and coding standards is necessary.
• Experience with monolithic applications is preferred.
