Description:

Zyte is a globally distributed team of over 240 members working from more than 28 countries, focused on enabling customers to extract necessary data for business innovation and growth.
The Senior Python Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support and enhance Zyte’s core products and leading the implementation of features across the core platform.
Responsibilities include developing and troubleshooting distributed applications, managing scalability, transparency, failure handling, security, and multi-tenancy.
The engineer will work on new features, including requirements gathering, design, and implementation, taking ownership of the complete lifecycle of features and code.
Collaboration with other engineering groups and the QA team is essential to ensure excellent user experiences.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience building scalable systems that operate reliably under high load.
A strong track record in Python with at least 3 years of experience is required.
Experience with at least one async framework is necessary.
Candidates should have strong knowledge of at least one RDBMS.
Experience with data pipelines and distributed message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is required.
Professional experience in building containerized applications and microservices is essential.
Candidates must have experience in building web applications using Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, or Fast API.
Good communication skills in English are required.
Experience collaborating in a remote-first team is necessary.
Candidates should be proficient in refactoring and software design patterns.
A degree in Computer Science or another engineering field, or equivalent working experience, is required.
