Remote Senior Python Engineer with Snowflake

Description:

• Seeking a Senior Python Developer with Snowflake experience to contribute to the development of an asset management platform for a leading investment company.
• The project involves processing and analyzing large volumes of time series data through a distributed solution.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing software components, system integration and testing, troubleshooting, and collaborating with teammates.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in SQL, and Relational Databases (Oracle / MySql / Postgres).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Python developer, writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• 4+ years' experience with Snowflake.
• Strong unit test and debugging skills.
• Proficiency in Linux.
• Knowledge of SQL, particularly in performance tuning.
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude under challenging circumstances.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to tools like DBT for data transformation over the cloud.
• Familiarity with MS Azure products, ADO, ADLS, etc.
• Experience in cloud data warehouses (Redshift / Pyspark).
• Exposure to Big Data workloads (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Familiarity with Airflow DAGs, Kubernetes for orchestration, and messaging tools like Kafka and Protobuf.
