Description:

CARTO is seeking a Senior React Engineer / Lead Developer to join their remote team in Spain.
The company specializes in spatial analytics and location intelligence, providing insights for various business applications.
The frontend technology is entirely based on React, developed from scratch over the last two years.
The frontend team consists of 8 engineers working remotely across Europe, maintaining several products including Workspace, Builder, CARTO for React, and deck.gl.
The ideal candidate should be in a compatible time zone with the existing team members.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong experience with React and at least 3 years of experience in the field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a developer, with a role as a lead developer in previous projects is required.
Excellent knowledge of modern development practices and tools such as git/github, documentation, testing, and profiling is essential.
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
The candidate should demonstrate autonomy, curiosity, and a positive attitude.
A willingness to teach and learn from coworkers through pair programming and code reviews is expected.
The candidate must be a solid team player.
