Remote Senior React Native Engineer

Description:

• Justlife is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to join their Engineering department in a remote, full-time position.
• The role involves designing and developing mobile applications for both consumers and internal operations.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop solutions.
• The engineer will design, implement, and maintain new features while managing the existing codebase.
• Delivering high-quality code within set deadlines and ensuring clean, maintainable solutions is essential.
• The position requires expanding and maintaining comprehensive unit tests and increasing code coverage.
• Optimizing app performance to create smooth, responsive mobile experiences is a key task.
• Staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in mobile app development is expected.
• Participation in the on-call rota is required.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native development is essential.
• Bonus experience includes Swift, Objective-C, Xcode, Java, Android SDK, and iOS SDK.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Redux, and CI/CD pipelines is required.
• Experience using Git for source control is necessary.
• The candidate should have experience writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end (e2e) tests (e.g., Detox or Maestro).
• The ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions is crucial.
• A solid understanding of SOLID principles and best coding practices is required.
• A proactive, self-driven approach, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, is expected.
