Description:

Fullscript is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to join their team and help shape the technical direction and architecture of their e-commerce mobile application.
The role involves collaborating with the Technical Lead and other team members to plan and architect mobile app projects, contributing to design discussions and decisions.
The engineer will implement and deliver high-quality mobile app features and enhancements using Expo, React Native, Typescript, and React.
The position is part of a mobile-focused "pod," a small team of specialist engineers responsible for various aspects of the native app infrastructure, workflows, and core features.
The engineer will contribute to the technical health of the mobile application by adhering to engineering best practices and participating in code reviews.
Staying updated with the latest mobile app development trends and technologies is essential, incorporating them into the project when appropriate.
The role includes mentoring and guiding other developers from different pods making mobile contributions, fostering a culture of growth and high psychological safety within the team.
This position can be based remotely in BC, AB, MB, ON, or NS.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on mobile applications using either React Native directly or Expo.
Proven experience in releasing stable mobile applications is required, with an understanding of the differences between shipping for mobile and web.
The ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and cross-functional teams to achieve company goals is essential.
Experience focusing on mobile UI/UX best practices, performance optimization, mobile-specific security considerations, or working directly with native platform APIs and IDEs is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges are required.
A passion for staying updated with the latest mobile app development trends and a drive to continuously improve engineering practices is expected.
