Description:

This senior developer position involves Agile software development for systems that support the client’s mission.
Responsibilities include software development from requirements gathering through coding and testing, researching issues in existing code, and preparing ad hoc reports.
The role requires communicating status, including issues and risks, to the team and collaborating with team members to reach problem resolution.
The individual is expected to drive value through the adoption and integration of cloud-native architectures using a serverless-first approach.
The position is client-facing, focusing on implementation and integration work.
External functions include participating in Dev Technology public engagements and supporting the Dev Technology Group at industry events related to cloud and serverless architectures.
Internal functions involve providing insight to the executive team on current and emerging technologies, supporting innovation teams, and providing direct billable support to clients in cloud architect roles.
Essential components of responsibility include client implementation and support, innovation, research and development, and leadership, communication, and technology.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree in Systems or Software Engineering or a related IT field is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 6-8+ years of directly related professional experience supporting systems in multiple languages and frameworks is required.
Experience with React UI or related UI frameworks (Angular) is necessary.
Proficiency with AWS Cloud Tools (AWS Lambda, EventBridge) is required.
Experience with Node.js is essential.
The candidate must understand complex business processes and their relation to supporting systems.
Ability to research problems, identify root causes, and recommend and implement solutions is required.
The candidate should have an aptitude for quickly picking up technology and a desire to learn and progress.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
The ability to collaborate with team members to meet or exceed client needs and expectations is required.
Comfort in a remote work environment is essential.
A passion for solving complex software challenges and collaborating on a team is expected.
Demonstrated success in R&D functions in cloud architecture design and implementation is required.
Proven success in leading teams in designing and deploying modern architectures in cloud environments such as AWS is necessary.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to use cloud-native services to architect and implement complex and mission-critical applications and services.
