Description:
Veeva Systems is seeking an experienced Release Engineer to join their CRM Release Management team.
The role involves delivering software releases, maintaining SaaS environments, and supporting product and technology teams.
Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and leading deployments of product releases, ensuring all changes are documented, approved, and verified.
The Release Engineer will facilitate the resolution of deployment problems with Engineering, QA, and Technical Operations.
The position requires working cross-functionally with teams including QA, Engineering, PM, Customer Support, and Operations to ensure release readiness.
The engineer will deliver releases/upgrades to SaaS instances with focus and precision and proactively identify, recommend, and implement software release process improvements.
Additional tasks include providing timely support to internal Veeva teams, managing the build and deployment of mobile apps, and provisioning, building out, and maintaining new CRM environments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in release engineering for organizations with complex applications.
A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and TestRail is necessary.
Candidates should have SaaS product delivery experience and be self-starters with strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with source code version control systems like Git is essential.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux and distributed computing environments is required.
A deep understanding of SDLC, SQA processes, and agile methodology is necessary.
Strong project management, relationship building, organizational, and communication skills are important.
Candidates must be located in the Pacific or Mountain Time zone, with a preference for those local to the Bay Area.

Excellent documentation and communication skills, along with presentation and demo skills, are required.
