Description:
Veeva Systems is seeking an experienced Release Engineer to join their CRM Release Management team.
The role involves planning, coordinating, and leading deployments of product releases while ensuring all changes are documented, approved, and verified.
The Release Engineer will facilitate the resolution of deployment problems with Engineering, QA, and Technical Operations.
This position requires working cross-functionally with teams including QA, Engineering, PM, Customer Support, and Operations to ensure release readiness.
Responsibilities include delivering releases/upgrades to SaaS instances with focus and precision, and proactively identifying, recommending, and implementing software release process improvements.
The role also involves providing timely support and expertise to internal Veeva teams, managing the build and deployment of mobile apps, and provisioning, building out, and maintaining new CRM environments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in release engineering for organizations with complex applications.
A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and TestRail is necessary.
Candidates should have SaaS product delivery experience and be self-starters with strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with source code version control systems such as Git is essential.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux and distributed computing environments is required.
A deep understanding of SDLC, SQA processes, and agile methodology is necessary.
Strong project management, relationship building, organizational, and communication skills are required.
Candidates must be located in the Pacific or Mountain Time zone, with a preference for those local to the Bay Area.

Excellent documentation and communication skills, as well as presentation and demo skills, are essential.
