Highlight is seeking a Senior Research Specialist focused on Data & Reporting to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
The role involves conducting descriptive and inferential analyses, creating compelling data visualizations, and generating reports to communicate insights effectively.
The candidate will align with stakeholders on deliverables, provide recommendations on statistical analysis, and present findings to drive alignment on key takeaways.
Responsibilities include analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, collaborating with internal teams to interpret results, and developing strategic recommendations.
The specialist will utilize internal analytics tools to create custom data deliverables tailored to project needs, including banner tables and significance testing.
The role requires developing best practices to enhance data analysis and reporting quality, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and enforcing standard operating procedures.
Proactive problem-solving is essential, including troubleshooting data challenges and implementing solutions to maintain high-quality deliverables.
Effective communication and collaboration across functions are crucial to ensure timely follow-through on issues and present insights effectively.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 3+ years of experience in research, data analysis, or a related field.
Expertise in survey research, including weighting, cross-tabulation, and significance testing is essential.
A commitment to quality control is necessary to ensure accuracy, consistency, and zero-defect customer deliverables.
Proficiency in survey tools such as Typeform, Qualtrics, Decipher, Alchemer, and SurveyMonkey is required.
Strong analytical skills to synthesize and interpret data, providing actionable insights are crucial.
Experience in crafting storytelling reports for qualitative and quantitative research is needed.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros are required.
Proficiency in SPSS or Stata is necessary, and SQL knowledge is a plus.
