Description:

• Koombea is seeking a Senior Ruby On Rails Tech Lead Developer to join their development team, either in Colombia or remotely across Latin America.
• The role involves architecting solutions for various problems, participating in the development team, making critical decisions, reviewing pull requests, and contributing code.
• Responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and maintaining codebases for web applications using Ruby, identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs, developing and maintaining APIs, optimizing app performance for speed and scalability, implementing security and data protection measures, designing and implementing data storage solutions, and deploying web apps to remote environments.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience working as a Ruby On Rails Developer.
• The ability to write clean, reliable, and scalable Ruby code is essential.
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM is required.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and libraries such as Sidekiq and RSpec is necessary.
• An Agile and Scrum mentality is expected.
• Candidates should possess testing capabilities and a good understanding of the Linux command line.
• Proficiency in code versioning using Git is required.
• English proficiency at a C1 level is mandatory.
• Knowledge of GraphQL is a nice to have, and experience with back-end languages or frameworks like Node.js and Laravel would be a plus.
