The primary responsibilities of the role include creating and enhancing RESTful, WebSocket, and MQTT based APIs using Rust, migrating existing APIs from C# to Rust, integrating with 3rd party cloud services, following and evolving Rust development best practices, and flying drones to test and validate API changes and integrations.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience with Rust.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in building customer/partner facing APIs is required.
Experience with some or all of the following technologies is necessary: Async Rust, Tokio, Axum, Tungstenite, and WebSockets.
Familiarity with mTLS, API Keys, or other connection authentication approaches is essential.
The ability to work well within a team while managing individual projects is required.
Candidates should be excited to work with drones, robotics, and first responders.
