Description:
The position is for a Senior Rust Developer - Protocol Researcher, which can be based in New York, Chicago, London, or Los Angeles, and offers full-time remote work.
The client is focused on creating a Bitcoin security-equivalent Layer2 solution based on the BitVM approach, aiming to enhance the Bitcoin ecosystem through cryptographic innovations and blockchain protocol engineering.
The company operates within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space, providing secure infrastructure for decentralized digital asset management.
Responsibilities include researching blockchain systems, particularly ZK-rollups and Layer 2 solutions, designing and implementing blockchain protocols using Rust, architecting robust distributed systems, and documenting research findings for technical papers and specifications.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in systems programming using Rust, Go, or C++.
A strong background in distributed systems and blockchain technology is required.
Applicants should possess a deep understanding of cryptographic primitives and their implementations.
Proficiency in blockchain fundamentals, including consensus protocols (PoW, PoS, PBFT, Tendermint), P2P networking, distributed systems, and blockchain security and cryptography is essential.
Experience with Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other major blockchain platforms is necessary.
Strong algorithmic problem-solving skills are required.
