Description:

  • The Senior Sales Engineer at Rithum is responsible for providing technical and subject matter expertise to the Global Sales Team to close new business with retail and brand clients.
  • They will generate new business with new and existing accounts in collaboration with sales and client management teams.
  • The role involves supporting the sales discovery process for technical, functionality, and overall value proposition of the solution.
  • The Senior Sales Engineer will assess potential application of company products or services and offer solutions that meet customer needs.
  • They will prepare and present presentations, strategic recommendations, and product demonstrations both in person and via Zoom.
  • Responsibilities also include producing needs analysis, requirements, architecture diagrams, high-level designs, and sales and technical presentations.
  • The Senior Sales Engineer will generate ROI analysis, revenue & cost forecasts, and respond to RFI’s and RFP’s.
  • They will communicate market feedback to product management for future product developments and use technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales.
  • The role involves measuring the efficacy of advertiser strategies via reporting and analysis against core retail media & digital marketing KPIs and performing pre-sales audits to identify potential areas for improved revenue growth and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales engineering experience, focused on consultative sales of enterprise software and services sales.
  • Must be a driven, polished, technology-proficient professional.
  • Hands-on experience supporting teams closing six-figure contracts against seven-figure targets.
  • Retail experience and online retailer or brand network preferred.
  • Knowledge of customer technology challenges within the retail and/or e-commerce industries.
  • Familiarity with the retail partner ecosystem including marketplaces.
  • Understanding of retail media and digital marketing strategies & KPIs within e-commerce industries.
  • Experienced user of digital ad management and retail media platforms (e.g. Google, Amazon).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience interacting with marketplaces and webstore platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, eBay, BigCommerce, Shopify, etc.
  • History of working with Enterprise retail clients and/or Brand Manufacturers.
  • Technical working knowledge of API integrations (REST & SOAP).
