• They are seeking a Senior Scala Developer to design, build, and maintain performant, scalable, and secure applications using the Scala ecosystem.
• The Senior Scala Developer will work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Responsibilities include architecting, developing, and maintaining Scala-based applications, collaborating with stakeholders, mentoring junior developers, optimizing services for scalability and performance, implementing testing strategies, diagnosing technical issues, and staying current with industry trends.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3-4 years focusing on Scala.
• In-depth knowledge of functional programming principles and Scala best practices is required.
• Experience with frameworks such as Akka, Play, or Spark is necessary.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git) is essential.
• A strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL) is required.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successful cross-team collaboration are mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is recommended.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and RESTful API design is preferred.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures or streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Exposure to DevOps, SRE principles, and/or infrastructure as code is recommended.
