Remote Senior Scala Software Engineer (U.S. remote- Full time)

Description:

• We seek Senior Scala Software Engineers to be strong technical resources on a dynamic and growing team of engineers.

• Responsibilities include developing new and enhancing existing application services, writing tests to maintain code quality, and understanding and adapting to our client's evolving business requirements within the television advertising domain.
• Participation in detailed technical design sessions to understand client needs and provide productive feedback is expected.
• The role involves identifying new opportunities, tools, and services to enhance the software platform, as well as supporting and troubleshooting issues, identifying the root cause, and proactively recommending corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have Scala 2.13+ development experience.
• A passion for developing clean and maintainable code with little or no side-effects is essential.
• Experience in building Restful APIs and applications is required.
• Solid hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies, particularly AWS, is a plus.
• Candidates should have experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience working with the Play Framework is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with the Slick Library and GraphQL is also a plus.
• A willingness to learn new technologies and a commitment to keeping up with the latest technologies and practices within the Scala development community are necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Candidates should be self-directed and able to effectively deliver solutions with little oversight.
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience is preferred but not required.

Benefits:

• The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 a year, commensurate with experience.
