Description:

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Security Engineering team.
The role involves onboarding security solutions for Veeva product teams and working with development teams to install and tune various security tools.
Responsibilities include implementing security tools such as IDS, IPS, FIM, and WAF, analyzing security tool alerts, and tuning alerts to eliminate false positives.
The engineer will write code to support data lake, data warehouse collection, and data transformation processes, as well as perform code reviews on security team code.
Application development and scripting with Python or another language is required.
The position also involves maintaining security infrastructure, tools, and systems, documenting best practices, and mentoring other security engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in an Information Security role managing security tools and infrastructure.
Experience in maintaining automation scripts to streamline security processes is required.
Proficiency in software development using Python is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud service providers, preferably AWS, and its various technologies and APIs is essential.
Advanced knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication, and security protocols is required.
Understanding of security standards such as OSWAP Top 10, SANS Top 20, NIST 800-53, CIS, and CSC is necessary.
Candidates should possess technical skills to translate business requirements into terms understandable by developers.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
