Description:

ClickUp is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, App Security to join their engineering-focused security team.
The security team partners with existing engineering teams to build and share technology, including defensive security features, secure infrastructure, and operational tools.
The mission is to help the organization move swiftly and securely by providing secure paved paths and prioritizing exploitable vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities include performing threat models, implementation reviews, and security testing, as well as reviewing requirements and designs.
The role involves designing and building security features and defenses for the ClickUp platform, as well as tools for security prevention, detection, and response across the full SDLC.
The engineer will embed into existing engineering and product teams, acting as a "security player-coach."
Additional tasks include building security automation, monitoring production security events, and providing incident analysis.
The position requires building relationships with engineers, product managers, data engineers, operators, and security team members to enable secure product shipping.

Requirements:

Candidates must have multiple years of experience in technology or software development.
Experience with Angular, Node.js, and PostgresSQL, or similar technologies is required.
An ability to identify and assess security threats is necessary.
Candidates should understand security problems and suggest solutions to software design issues.
Cloud and SaaS experience is essential.
The ability to mentor others on technical topics, including security, is required.
Desirable qualifications include past experience with pushing technical initiatives and team or project management.
A minimum of 5 years of software development experience and 1 year of security-specific experience is preferred.
Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, RASP, dependency checkers, and SIEM is beneficial.
At least 2 years of AWS experience, including IAM and least-privilege architectures, is desired.
