Description:

The Senior Security Engineer (AppSec) will be part of the Security (Enterprise Technology) team at Booksy, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Technology.
The primary responsibility is to ensure that the Booksy Application and its underlying infrastructure are designed securely, protected from attacks, and free from common vulnerabilities.
The role involves working closely with product engineers to integrate security into products and automate security-related activities.
Promoting security awareness throughout the company is also a key aspect of the position.
The work environment is dynamic and may be chaotic, requiring the ability to thrive in a scale-up with limited resources.

Requirements:

Candidates must have commercial experience in application security, including knowledge of risks, vulnerabilities, OWASP Top 10, mitigation techniques, and penetration testing.
A background in software engineering is required, with the ability to implement security improvements in applications.
A good understanding of modern application security topics such as OWASP ASVS/MASVS, SSDLC, and DevSecOps is essential.
Experience with Cloud Security platforms like GCP, K8s, and AWS is necessary.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders are required.
Conversational level English language skills are mandatory, as English is the company language for business communications.
Knowledge of modern architecture standards and their impact on security, including microservices, IDP, OAuth, SAML, and service mesh, is beneficial.
Familiarity with web/mobile application engineering concepts and tools like Burpsuite, Semgrep, Lacework, and Nuclei is advantageous.
