Description:
The Senior Security Engineer will be part of the Cash Security team, collaborating on building and sharing security infrastructure, principles, and guidelines.
They will work within the Bitcoin Platform Engineering team to co-design, co-build, and co-own security mechanisms and features to protect Bitcoin holdings in production and at scale.
Responsibilities include maintaining and developing capabilities for Subzero, an open-source cold storage system, and embedded applications on HSMs.
The role involves writing security-sensitive code, using cryptographic libraries, and working with security protocols and implementations.
Experience with embedded systems, AWS, Secure Enclaves, TrustZone, SGX, HSMs, and building security-sensitive applications in AWS is required.
The candidate should have a strong motivation to contribute to a meaningful product that changes how people interact with financial institutions.
They should also demonstrate technical initiative, leadership, and a desire to mentor other engineers.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience delivering quality software.
Experience writing security-sensitive code or using cryptographic libraries.
Familiarity with security protocols or protocol implementation.
Experience with embedded systems, embedded C, firmware development, or embedded security.
Experience with Secure Enclaves, TrustZone, SGX, AWS Nitro enclaves, HSMs, nCipher HSMs, or Codesafe.
Experience building security-sensitive applications in AWS.
Strong motivation to contribute to a meaningful product and grow as a security engineer.
Demonstrated technical initiative and leadership skills.
