Description:
Perforce is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join their Security Team.
This role involves a mix of penetration testing, vulnerability management, and security operations to maintain a strong security posture against evolving threats.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security frameworks, hands-on experience in offensive security, and a proactive approach to security operations.
Responsibilities include conducting penetration testing and security assessments on applications, networks, and infrastructure.
The engineer will perform vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation tracking.
They will implement and maintain security tools, including SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
Investigating potential security risks in third-party tools and formulating best practice documentation and guidance to reduce risk is also required.
Collaboration with product engineering teams and key stakeholders to ensure penetration test findings are addressed to completion within SLAs is essential.
The engineer will monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and recommend mitigations.
Developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and best practices is part of the role.
Assisting in security awareness training and red team exercises is expected.
The engineer will research emerging security threats and contribute to security improvement initiatives.
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior associate level security engineers is also a responsibility.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
A Master’s degree in computer science or information security/Cybersecurity is preferred.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, focusing on penetration testing, product testing, and threat modeling.
Experience with Cloud Environments (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services) and container technologies (Kubernetes/Docker) is necessary.
A strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies is required.
Expertise in using security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, and Metasploit is essential.
A working knowledge of secure coding practices and security architecture is needed.
The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work quickly and independently with limited supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, RHCA, GFCA, or OSCP are a plus.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of $109,850 - $165,750 a year.
