Trail of Bits is seeking a Senior Security Engineer, Cryptography within their Assurance team.
The role involves reviewing low-level, high-assurance software in finance, tech, defense, and blockchain industries.
Responsibilities include performing code reviews, developing cryptanalysis tools, and collaborating with academics on cryptographic research.
The engineer will manage their work independently and contribute to the growth of the cryptography team.
The position requires active participation in the open-source cryptography community to influence development and enhance client security.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience in applied cryptography and cryptanalysis, with a strong mathematical background for understanding academic research.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Rust, Go, C++, C, or Python, along with experience using the Git (GitHub) workflow is required.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate cryptographic implementations and identify potential vulnerabilities.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A self-directed approach to manage responsibilities and drive new projects forward is essential.
A collaborative mindset to work effectively with team members, clients, and the broader technical community is necessary.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $175,000 to $225,000, along with performance-based bonuses.
