Description:

  • Jobgether is seeking a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Detection & Response, with a preference for candidates in Canada, Mexico, or the United States.
  • The role involves enhancing security visibility and threat detection capabilities across various platforms.
  • Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining high-fidelity log ingestion pipelines, monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve security posture.
  • The position requires automating processes, investigating incidents, and refining security strategies to ensure a secure infrastructure.
  • Key accountabilities include leading detection and incident response efforts, designing and optimizing log pipelines, automating security infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes, ensuring compliance with data retention policies, and participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4-5 years of hands-on experience in detection and response, particularly in enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Proven experience in building and optimizing log ingestion and normalization pipelines is required.
  • Expertise in Detection as Code using Python and SQL is necessary.
  • Candidates should have subject matter expertise in endpoint security and/or cloud security, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of Mac, Linux, and Windows operating systems is essential.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple teams in security roles and contribute to incident response efforts is required.
  • A background in Information Security, Computer Science, Forensics, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
