Description:
Bluesight is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their team in a fully remote position.
The role involves working in a highly visible, cross-functional capacity, advising across the company on security matters.
Responsibilities include building scanning and threat detection systems for monitoring Bluesight’s AWS cloud deployment and other digital assets.
The engineer will train all employees on security best practices, conduct risk assessments for new vendor integrations and product launches, and develop internal protocols and controls.
The position requires building and maintaining core standards around security, privacy, and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with certifications.
The engineer will contribute to, operate, and improve security and compliance requirements for SOC2, HIPAA, and CGMP.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in product or infrastructure security-related software engineering roles.
Proficiency in a programming language, testing practices, and thorough documentation is required.
Expertise with multiple technologies relevant to Bluesight's Security System and infrastructure, including AWS, vulnerability management tools, SIEM and logging technology, enterprise VPN, and host-based security tools.
Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring internal practices for SOC2, HIPAA, or ISO information security compliance standards is necessary.
Candidates should be able to represent Bluesight’s security posture and operations maturity to customers.
Subject matter expertise in security best practices and the ability to make correct risk assessments is essential.
A track record of building self-service and high-quality tools with a customer-driven mindset is preferred.
Candidates should have a desire to share expertise through documentation and mentorship, and work with individuals with diverse security ideas.
Autonomy and proactivity in driving work to completion in ambiguous situations are required.
