Description:
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain security systems and tooling across our infrastructure.
The role requires a strong background in security engineering and an in-depth understanding of security tools.
You will take a proactive approach to mitigating cybersecurity risks.
This position involves hands-on technical work and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance our overall security posture.
You will provide technical leadership and coach junior members of the security engineering team.
Your primary focus will be on infrastructure security through architecture reviews, threat modeling for new and existing services, and security tool implementations, leveraging automation to scale security solutions.
You will design, deploy, and manage advanced security tools, including SIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability management, and firewalls.
You will engineer solutions to integrate security tooling across cloud environments, ensuring seamless protection and visibility.
Collaboration with cloud engineering teams will be necessary to implement and secure cloud-native solutions.
You will lead the evaluation, implementation, and configuration of new security technologies to address evolving threats.
You will develop and maintain secure configurations for operating systems, applications, and networking equipment.
Automating security processes using scripting languages and tools like Terraform or Ansible will be part of your responsibilities.
Conducting security assessments and ensuring effective vulnerability management programs will be essential.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
You must have 7+ years of experience in security engineering, including designing and managing security tools.
A strong understanding of Threat Modeling Principles is necessary.
Experience with Security Incident Response and Risk Management is required.
You should have strong hands-on expertise with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools.
Proficiency in securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.
Experience with automation tools and scripting for integrating and managing security solutions is required.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and container security is necessary.
A proven track record in incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations is required.
Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Certified Security Specialty are preferred.
