Description:

JumpCloud is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for the DevSecOps team, focusing on building and maintaining infrastructure, software, and automation to monitor and mitigate attacks and vulnerabilities across JumpCloud products and services.
The role is remote and requires collaboration with a global team based in the IST time zone to ensure the integrity of JumpCloud products and the safety of its users.
Responsibilities include leading the design and maintenance of infrastructure, developing policy enforcement automation, setting up data ingestion for SIEM, collaborating with DevOps teams to embed security best practices, conducting threat model reviews, and mentoring service/feature teams in secure software design principles.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in security engineering with a strong background in software development and architecture.
Production experience with AWS or GCP is required.
Proficiency in writing Golang code is necessary.
Familiarity with Terraform (HCL) and Kubernetes is expected.
Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions, is essential.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required to convey complex security concepts effectively.
Candidates should have experience in one of the following areas: red teaming/internal pentesting, product security, authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, LDAP), or mobile application security (iOS and Android).
Bonus points for experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA), open source security tools, data pipeline tooling, certificate infrastructure, distributed systems, or working on core OS APIs.
