Remote Senior Security Engineer, Security Assurance (Remote)

Description:

• The Senior Security Assurance Engineer will collaborate with various teams in engineering, security, cloud platforms, IT, and other stakeholders to articulate security policies, implement continuous monitoring, automate workflows, and configure alerts on policy failures.
• Responsibilities include developing security governance frameworks, launching and scaling the asset intelligence & governance program, conducting security program reviews, and designing technology and security risk management workshops.
• The role involves building partnerships with stakeholders, providing awareness of policies and controls, serving as a security SME for business continuity and disaster readiness programs, and managing Security GRC and Disaster Readiness reporting metrics and dashboards.
• The ideal candidate will work on expanding capabilities in asset intelligence and governance, security posture monitoring, compliance automation, customer security observability automation, and supplier security monitoring.
• The position requires familiarity with cloud-native environments and experience in automating security posture management, compliance engineering, and continuous controls monitoring using platforms like GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and tools such as Grafana, LogicGate, Secureframe, Jira, and ServiceNow GRC.

Requirements:

• Comfortable working in a remote-first company and adapting security controls accordingly.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language and SQL.
• Experience in cloud-native environments and building automated processes for security posture management and compliance engineering.
• Ability to define project plans, milestones, and key performance indicators.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• BS/MS degree in engineering, computer science, or information security, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, and cloud security solutions are a plus.
