Description:

Alma is seeking a mission-driven Senior Security Operations Analyst to join their team.
The role involves defending against cybersecurity incidents by identifying, analyzing, communicating, and containing incidents as they occur.
Responsibilities include validating and maintaining incident response plans, conducting network monitoring, intrusion detection analysis, and deploying cloud-centric detection.
The analyst will work with the security information and event management (SIEM) system to correlate activity across various assets and environments.
The position requires researching emerging threats and vulnerabilities, creating runbooks for frequently occurring incidents, and providing users with incident response support.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in a similar role with web technologies and information security, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification or other relevant certifications is required.
Extensive experience in managing incidents from detection to remediation, including documentation and communication of updates, is necessary.
Experience in building and running incident response programs, including planning tabletop exercises and developing breach simulation scenarios, is essential.
Candidates should have knowledge of AWS security tools and processes, experience with incident management tools like OneTrust, and extensive experience with Elastic SIEM and EDR tools.
Strong decision-making capabilities and communication skills are required, along with the ability to convey complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
