Remote Senior Security Operations Center Analyst - Australia

Description:

• Huntress is seeking a Senior Security Operations Center Analyst to join their remote team in Australia.
• The role involves triaging, investigating, responding to, and remediating intrusions on a daily basis.
• The analyst will mentor junior team members, fostering their growth both individually and as a team.
• Responsibilities include performing tactical forensic analysis, malware analysis, and investigating suspicious Microsoft M365 activity.
• The analyst will assist in escalations from the product support team and engage with customers to explain observed activities.
• Contributions to detection efforts and external content such as blogs and webinars are also expected.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a SOC, Incident Response, or Forensics role is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to explain complex alerts in a simple manner.
• Proven mentoring experience is essential for guiding junior team members.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Administration, or Cyber Security, or equivalent self-guided study experience is required.
• Understanding of malware analysis and experience with Windows OS and/or Mac OS as an attack surface is necessary.
• Familiarity with basic threat actor tools and techniques, as well as experience with Windows Administration or Enterprise Domain Administration, is required.
• Network administration skills and understanding of web technologies are also necessary.
