Description:
The Senior Security Operations Engineer II position at Wrapbook involves taking a hands-on approach to building and scaling foundational security programs with a focus on operational security.
The role includes planning and prioritizing projects, implementing and building tools, defining processes, and providing training.
Responsibilities in the first year include assessing existing security operations capabilities, evolving Security Incident Response processes, owning and maintaining the Vulnerability Management program, participating in threat modeling discussions, refining security alerts, and improving 24x7 monitoring.
The position also involves owning Security’s on-call rotation, building relationships with partners and stakeholders, and promoting an effective security culture across Wrapbook through training and best practices.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in Security with knowledge of core Security basics such as Confidentiality, Availability, Least Privilege, Integrity, RBAC, and OWASP top ten.
Strong technical security background in cloud and web applications, understanding of network and architecture diagrams, and knowledge of common enterprise and SaaS technologies.
Experience setting up and tuning Security Information Event Monitoring tools, understanding of Vulnerability Management programs, and experience in Security Incident Response.
Ability to break down big problems into actionable project phases, lead technical outcomes, demonstrate empathy for customers, and possess strong written communication skills.
Critical thinking, analytical energy, curiosity, and excitement to learn new things.
Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks, hands-on experience in security assessments, AWS cloud expertise, and ability to build trust with virtual team members.
