Description:
The Senior Security Vulnerability Analyst role is located in Warsaw (hybrid) or can be performed remotely from anywhere in Poland.
This position involves managing known vulnerabilities to ensure effective remediation strategies are in place to prevent exploitation by threat actors.
The analyst will identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation in collaboration with system owners, using a risk-based approach.
Responsibilities include actively reporting on vulnerability status and managing them to resolution to reduce overall business risk.
The role requires technical expertise to understand various types of vulnerabilities and assess their exploitability, severity, exposure, and business criticality.
Good communication skills are essential for collaborating with system owners and other security team members to ensure vulnerabilities are remediated effectively and timely.
The analyst will monitor tools and systems for vulnerability identification, triage findings, assess risks, and communicate results to stakeholders.
Additional tasks include creating metrics and KPI reports, assisting in security incident investigations, and identifying opportunities for improved vulnerability management.
The analyst will contribute to the development of security policies related to vulnerability management and maintain documentation for internal processes and security procedures.
The role involves articulating security issues to internal teams, troubleshooting security issues, and maintaining relationships with third-party information security suppliers.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an enterprise security environment, preferably in a technical security role, is required.
Knowledge of common operating systems, cloud computing platforms, software development frameworks, network protocols, and security architecture is essential.
Familiarity with industry-standard vulnerability management tools and current vulnerabilities and attacks is necessary.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences are required.
Desired experience includes working as a penetration tester or bug-bounty hunter, proficiency in one or more high-level programming or scripting languages, and hands-on experience with various scanning tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a similar field, or equivalent industry experience is required.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, SANS, or vendor certifications from AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc., are preferred or candidates should be working towards them.
