Description:
Unchained Entertainment is seeking a senior server engineer to assist in defining and constructing the game server architecture.
The role involves more than just gameplay, focusing on load balancing, maximizing thread usage, and minimizing bandwidth consumption.
The position will contribute to the development of the "Unchained Engine" powering games like Camelot Unchained and Final Stand: Ragnarok.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in C# or Java, strong data structures and algorithm skills, prior game development experience, and proficiency in network and client/server programming.
Understanding of dynamic distributed systems, threading, concurrency, and game systems like combat, physics, and pathfinding is required.
Experience with databases is also necessary for this role.
Requirements:
Expert fluency in C# or Java, preferably C#.
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Previous experience in game development.
Proficiency in network and client/server programming.
Understanding of dynamic distributed systems.
Mastery of threading and concurrency.
Broad general understanding of game systems such as combat, physics, and pathfinding.
Experience with databases.
