Remote Senior Server Engineer (Remote)

Description:

• Unchained Entertainment is seeking a senior server engineer to assist in defining and constructing the game server architecture.
• The role involves more than just gameplay, focusing on load balancing, maximizing thread usage, and minimizing bandwidth consumption.
• The position will contribute to the development of the "Unchained Engine" powering games like Camelot Unchained and Final Stand: Ragnarok.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in C# or Java, strong data structures and algorithm skills, prior game development experience, and proficiency in network and client/server programming.
• Understanding of dynamic distributed systems, threading, concurrency, and game systems like combat, physics, and pathfinding is required.
• Experience with databases is also necessary for this role.

Requirements:

• Expert fluency in C# or Java, preferably C#.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Previous experience in game development.
• Proficiency in network and client/server programming.
• Understanding of dynamic distributed systems.
• Mastery of threading and concurrency.
• Broad general understanding of game systems such as combat, physics, and pathfinding.
• Experience with databases.
