Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Description:

• Join the Everbridge Kubernetes Platform team to ensure the quality and availability of solutions.
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes at scale in a DoD IL4 cloud environment.
• Maintain Kubernetes infrastructure within AWS, including various services like VPCs, EC2, IAM roles, and more.
• Enhance operational availability, security, scalability, and efficiency of Everbridge's Kubernetes solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement reliable solutions.
• Implement SRE and Kubernetes best practices through automation and data-driven decisions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve production escalations.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of technical AWS experience in a production environment.
• 2+ years of Kubernetes experience (EKS, AKS, GKE, Self managed).
• 3+ years of Terraform or similar IaC experience.
• Proficiency in various tools like GitLab CICD, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.
• Familiarity with Telemetry tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Experience in writing automation scripts in languages like Python, Go, Bash, Java.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Salt, Ansible, AWS user_data.
• Experience in a DevOps/SRE production environment and Agile practices.
• Strong UNIX/Linux experience in large-scale production environments.
• Experience working on DoD IL4 programs.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and DoD 8140 “Intermediate” level certification.
