Description:
Honeycomb is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their distributed team in the US or Canada.
The SRE team at Honeycomb is responsible for owning reliability practices across the organization and working with cutting-edge tools.
The role involves embedding with engineering teams to help them understand how their software operates in production, facilitating organizational learning with incidents, enhancing developer experience, influencing on-call and incident response practices, and measuring and improving whole-product reliability.
Senior candidates will also identify and run larger projects, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the roadmap.
Optional opportunities include sharing thoughts through blogging, speaking at conferences, and engaging with customers and prospects.
Requirements:
Experience managing infrastructure, particularly in AWS using Terraform.
Enjoyment of the social aspects of the job, collaborating with team members, and strong project management skills.
Care for people and a willingness to support teams at different stages of development.
Curiosity, interest in experimentation, and a focus on learning from incidents.
Focus on the user and business outcomes, asking critical questions to drive success.
