Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

• Dandy is transforming the dental industry by integrating and simplifying every function of dental practices through technology.
• The company is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its rapidly scaling technology organization.
• The role involves designing and building scalable infrastructure and systems to support the growing product engineering function.
• The technology stack includes TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, React/Redux, GraphQL, Postgresql, GCP, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Chronosphere, and Temporal.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining infrastructure, systems, and tooling to support Dandy’s products securely and efficiently.
• The engineer will collaborate with Product Engineers and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• The role requires advocating for improvements in infrastructure quality, security, and performance, as well as crafting code that adheres to internal standards.
• The engineer will identify technical debt and propose solutions to enhance team efficiency.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high-growth startup environment.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine is required.
• Strong experience in observability and monitoring tools such as Chronosphere, Sentry, DataDog, Splunk, Otel, and Prometheus is necessary.
• A collaborative, pragmatic, and growth-oriented mindset is essential, as the team is small and aligned on common goals.
• The ability to communicate complex technical and organizational problems clearly and propose iterative solutions is required.
• Experience with performance and optimization problems, along with the ability to diagnose and prevent these issues, is important.
• Candidates should be comfortable working in a highly agile and iterative software development process.
• Self-motivation, self-management, and excellent organizational skills are necessary.
• The ability to thrive in a remote-first organization is essential.
