The role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer is remote and focuses on elevating infrastructure resilience and optimizing system performance.
Responsibilities include performance analysis to identify instability sources, analyzing complex systems to minimize downtime, and software engineering to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
The engineer will also modify infrastructure in both data center and public cloud environments, conduct predictive failure analysis, author new tools for the DevOps pipeline, collaborate with engineering teams, and manage database administration with a focus on uptime and performance.
Incident response and postmortem reporting are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

A STEM degree and relevant experience as a Site Reliability Engineer are required.
Exceptional problem-solving skills are necessary for this position.
Candidates must have high proficiency in one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
High proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment and excellent knowledge of internals, such as filesystems and system calls, is essential.
Networking knowledge, including routing, switching, and TCP stack for both metal and cloud environments, is required.
Experience in database administration and configuration is necessary.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes is required.
The candidate must be available for on-call reporting to monitor and alert core website functions as needed.
