Description:

  • Acquia empowers brands to create impactful digital customer experiences using open source Drupal.
  • The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring solutions.
  • The role requires expertise in tools like ArgoCD, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architecture to achieve operational excellence.
  • Responsibilities include designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and architecting cloud environments.
  • The engineer will implement monitoring solutions and advocate for DevOps culture across teams.
  • A security-first approach is essential, collaborating with security teams to ensure robust practices.
  • The position involves close collaboration with product development teams to integrate CI/CD practices into their workflows.

Requirements:

  • A BS in Computer Science or a comparable field of study, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, or JavaScript is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems administration using the command line interface is required.
  • A fundamental understanding of TCP/UDP networking concepts is essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like ArgoCD, Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI is required.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration is necessary.
  • Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is required, with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud experience being a plus.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for managing infrastructure as code is necessary.
  • Strong experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or New Relic is required.
  • A deep understanding of security best practices in DevOps is essential.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams are required.
