Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Description:

• Magic Leap is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the safe, swift, and reliable delivery of services to customers.
• Responsibilities include developing solutions for service stability through automation and process re-engineering.
• Building and supporting tools and systems for software deployment into production.
• Collaborating with cross-functional and external partner teams to design and develop software features for Magic Leap devices.
• Troubleshooting, testing, resolving, and deploying complex technical issues.
• Improving processes, systems, or products to enhance software development performance.
• Mentoring and guiding junior software engineers, technicians, and interns, and conducting regular code reviews.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Linux-based systems and core Internet protocols.
• Strong knowledge of modern languages like Go, Python, etc.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient scripts.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with public cloud providers and optimizing container images.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Gitlab CI, ArgoCD.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to interact with geographically distributed teams.
