Description:
ClickUp is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the stability, availability, and reliability of its cloud-based infrastructure.
The role involves building a deep understanding of ClickUp's systems to identify risks and opportunities for remediation.
Responsibilities include owning and improving the incident management process, defining SLOs and SLIs, and enhancing observability across services.
The engineer will build software solutions for reliability and operability of large-scale distributed systems and automate critical engineering processes.
The position requires managing capacity and performance to scale infrastructure on public and private clouds.
Requirements:
Strong software engineering skills with an operational, infrastructural, or SRE mentality are essential.
Candidates must have production experience in a major cloud environment, including CI/CD deployments and infrastructure-as-code (IAC) systems.
Experience managing production-grade infrastructure with IaC or configuration management tools is required.
A strong knowledge of *nix based operating systems and advanced troubleshooting commands is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with VMs, containers, and container orchestration systems.
Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL storage solutions in a production capacity is required, along with knowledge of indexing, locking, replication, and sharding.
Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools, as well as concepts such as SLOs and SLIs, is important.
Bonus points for experience with technologies such as CloudFormation/CDK, ECS, ElasticBeanstalk, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, and JavaScript frameworks.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of $160,000 - $205,000 (base pay).
