Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Description:

• The role is for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Nivoda, a B2B diamond and gemstones marketplace.
• The mission is to build a world-class online marketplace that delivers reliability, performance, and value.
• The SRE will work closely with the site reliability engineering team to design, implement, and maintain robust system architectures, monitoring, and incident management processes.
• Key responsibilities include assisting in system design and architecture, developing monitoring strategies, participating in incident management, optimizing system performance, and managing infrastructure as code.
• The SRE will also help define and measure service-level objectives (SLOs), automate tasks, ensure security and compliance, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and maintain documentation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in a Site Reliability, DevOps, or related role.
• Previous experience with AWS is required.
• Strong experience with Linux system administration, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker) is necessary.
• A strong technical background in cloud computing, distributed systems, and software engineering is essential.
• Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly are important.
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Grafana) and a programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Bash) is needed.
• Nice to have qualifications include AWS certifications, database management experience (SQL/NoSQL), knowledge of security best practices, and knowledge of system performance monitoring and tuning.
