Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

• The engineer will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, deploy and maintain necessary resources, and ensure security compliance.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial to improve software delivery speed and reliability.
• The role also involves evaluating existing applications for performance improvements and maintaining real-time monitoring systems.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• At least one year of experience as a Python developer transitioning to a site reliability engineer role is necessary.
• A minimum of five years of experience in software development as a DevOps and/or SRE is required.
• Candidates must have at least two years of experience in an SRE role on a platform running Kubernetes, preferably GKE, at scale.
• Experience using ArgoCD for rollouts and deployments is mandatory.
• One year of experience using a service mesh such as Istio in a GKE environment is required.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python, and automation tools like Terraform is essential.
• A solid understanding of security implementation on pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud environments is necessary.
• Familiarity with compliance standards like SOC 2 and HIPAA is required.
• Strong expertise in creating and managing robust CI/CD pipelines is essential.
