Description:

  • The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of highly available and distributed solutions and platforms, ensuring the reliability of the ecosystem.
  • This role involves working in an international environment with multiple squads and teams of system and product engineers and data scientists.
  • Daily tasks include configuring and operating the container platform and data storage solutions in AWS, building and configuring services across SAAS, PAAS, and IAAS environments, and collaborating with Applications Teams on operational and improvement cases.
  • The engineer will design and execute their own initiatives, troubleshoot and resolve service issues related to operating systems and servers, and maintain response and resolution of cases/tickets against established SLAs.
  • Participation in on-call support, supporting other system engineers, contributing to knowledge sharing, and staying updated with the latest technologies and trends are also key responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have solid experience in systems administration and maintenance in UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Strong experience as a Kubernetes administrator, particularly in building and operating multi-cluster setups running production workloads, is required.
  • Experience with setting up ServiceMesh is considered a plus.
  • Applicants should have solid experience with the development, configuration, maintenance, and enhancements of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Solid experience in at least two areas within AWS IAM, Networking, Logging, or security is necessary.
  • Experience with AWS file storage, block storage, and distributed object storage solutions is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with the setup and configuration of Elasticstack, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
  • Skills to maintain application, infrastructure, and system health awareness using monitoring tools are essential.
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Bash, Python, or Go, is required.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in system, network, and application-related issues are a must.
  • A passion for automation, open-source technologies, and continuous learning is expected.
  • Candidates should be team players with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm, demonstrating a proactive and can-do attitude.
  • High self-management and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic start-up environment are essential.
