Description:
Proof is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability of their ECS-based production systems.
The role involves ensuring high availability of ECS-based production environments, aiming for a 99.9...% uptime.
Responsibilities include overseeing Kubernetes test clusters, supporting AWS ECS production environments, and managing active-active cross-regional deployments for disaster recovery.
The engineer will collaborate with developers on Azure ADX dashboards and build actionable Grafana alerts/playbooks.
Streamlining CI/CD processes and participating in incident response activities and on-call rotation are also key duties.
The position emphasizes implementing security and DevOps best practices across teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have hands-on experience with production containerized workloads.
Kubernetes experience is valued, but the role primarily focuses on AWS ECS for production workloads.
A proven track record with active-active cross-regional architectures is required.
Proficiency with Terraform and/or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is necessary.
Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and log management solutions is essential.
Expertise in optimizing CI/CD pipelines is required.
Strong scripting and automation skills are necessary.
A collaborative, self-directed, and proactive problem-solving mindset is expected.
Candidates should be comfortable setting priorities and taking initiative.
Benefits:
The expected cash compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $240,000 a year, determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
