Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at MasteryPrep, you will optimize digital platforms to ensure they are robust, scalable, and secure, providing a reliable learning environment for underserved students.
• You will work on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions, focusing on security measures.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement security controls to protect systems and data.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure application development and deployment.
• Automate security processes and implement best practices to enhance system reliability and prevent disruptions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of Google Firestore, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, React, Python, Unix/Linux Administration.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform security controls, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience in conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.
