Description:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at MasteryPrep, you will optimize systems that elevate educational access for all students.
You will ensure that digital platforms are robust, scalable, and secure, providing a reliable learning environment for underserved students.
Your role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You will lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect data and systems from threats.
A proactive approach to system reliability will be essential to prevent disruptions and maintain high availability for users.
You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure applications are developed and deployed securely.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular security audits, implementing security controls, monitoring system logs, and automating security processes.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on cybersecurity is necessary.
Strong knowledge of Google Firestore, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, React, and Python is required.
Experience with Unix/Linux Administration is essential.
You must have experience implementing and maintaining security controls on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell are required.
Experience conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments is essential.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are necessary.
You should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
Preferred qualifications include certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) and experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $165,000 to $175,000 based on qualifications.
