Description:

  • Tenable is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to work on their cloud-based vulnerability management platform.
  • The role involves making Tenable cloud products function in public and/or private cloud environments.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with customer support escalations, troubleshooting complex technical problems, and resolving data/configuration issues.
  • The engineer will develop software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems.
  • The position requires providing strategic and thought leadership on complex projects and collaborating with cloud engineers on new technologies.
  • The engineer will participate in the software development lifecycle, creating detailed enhancement/bug definitions and navigating functional requirements to production deployments.
  • The role includes proactively seeking efficiencies within operations and managing additional projects assigned by management.
  • Documentation for operational procedures and system upgrades will be created and maintained.
  • The engineer will participate in an on-call rotation to support 24x7 availability of production application systems and remediate infrastructure and container security vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance or be willing to obtain one.
  • A minimum of 4 years of related Site Reliability Engineering experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with platform development in compliance with FedRamp requirements is necessary.
  • Familiarity with FedRamp controls and procedures is essential.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology Engineering is required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong experience with Agile software development methodology and collaboration with internal teams is necessary.
  • Experience with Incident Management processes and procedures is required.
  • Proficiency in Python and bash scripting is essential for automating tasks and improving operational efficiency.
  • Experience with Docker or similar container solutions is required.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tooling such as Kubernetes is necessary.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies is required.
  • Preferred experience includes 2+ years deploying Amazon Web Services (AWS) public cloud infrastructures and operational experience with big data services technologies.
  • Candidates should be enthusiastic learners and advocates of the technologies used.

  • The base pay range for this position is $128,000β€”$170,000 USD, with variable compensation based on performance.
